Round cherry and black currant fruit develop a bright acidity in the mouth. Notes of leather and tobacco follow, leading to a medium-long finish of clean, mellow tannins.
This pleasant and versatile wine pairs well with beef, spicy or well-seasoned pork or chicken dishes, and robust cheeses such as Cotswold, Parmesan, Gruyere, Wensleydale, and Grayson.
